Almost 40,000 entries but it wasn’t enough to avoid an overlay as a player from Brazil turned $215 into $1 million last night.
The $8 million guaranteed Sunday Million Anniversary concluded last night after incurring a small overlay.
39,226 entries in total for the $215 event, meaning that there was an overlay of $154,800. However, PokerStars collected $433,590 in rake so the event was still a success by any measure.
In the end Brazilian player ‘CrossBreed17’ took it down for a cool $1 million at a final table that included Jans ‘Graftekkel’ Arends.
Amazingly it wasn’t even the biggest online prize awarded last night. Over at GGPoker in the $10,300 Super High Roller ‘D Kaladjurdjevic’ took it down for $1,588,584 and heads-up opponent Andrew Wilson captured $1,22,732 for coming second.
Next up for PokerStars is SCOOP which starts on May 4.
