With just a few weeks to go before the record breaking high stakes stream, one fan favourite has confirmed he won’t be playing.
Earlier this year we brought you the news that the Hustler Million Dollar Game was back, taking place at the end of May. The game boasted the biggest pot of all time, at $3.1 million.
Normally at this point, we are bringing you news of big names confirming their attendance but instead, we have news of one fan favourite who has pulled out. Ethan ‘Rampage’ Yau has backed out of the game:
Backing out of this game, sad to not be able to play but hopeful to be in a better position next year🤞🏻
Looking forward to seeing all the action unfold end of May! Will 100% be tuned in https://t.co/TCkwA8CrxS

Known for his fearless style and very cavalier attitude towards bankroll management, it seems that Yau has finally decided to put the breaks on, this time. He has revealed on Twitter that he is down $1 million in cash games this year.
The decision may also be influenced by this prop bet he suggested where he wanted to increase his exposure at the WSOP this year:
Idea for WSOP prop bet, would anyone be interested in fading me and my entire schedule? I’m 0/2 in profitable summers lifetime and looking to make things interesting.
Looking to increase my exposure x2 basically and the fader acts as casino. If I brick a 5K, I lose extra 5K on…

Big names who are confirmed for the Million Dollar Game this month include Tony G, Tom Dwan, Doug Polk, Alan Keating, Nik Airball and Daniel Cates.
