While the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Main Events continued, there was still plenty of action on PokerStars on Monday night.
And it was a great night for PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot, who took down his first SCOOP title, with Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson becoming only the fifth player to win at least nine SCOOP titles.

Tonka Wins SCOOP 113-H: $530 NLHE [Sunday Kickoff]
Fintan “easywithaces” Hand has three. Lex Veldhuis won his first this year. And now, Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot has his first SCOOP title. He defeated “Vop4444” heads-up to win Event 113-H: $530 NLHE Sunday Kickoff for $70,128.
In the penultimate hand, Talbot overbet pot with 3♣2♣ on a K♠6♣5♦10♣A♣ board and was called by his opponent. Talbot’s flush was good leaving his opponent with 2.5 big blinds which went in on the final hand and Talbot emerged victorious.

Field of Big Names in SCOOP 120-H: $25,000 Super High Roller
The biggest buy-in of the SCOOP festival got underway last night with 69 entries in the $25,000 Super High Roller. After 14 hours of play, it’s Kahle “ROFLshove” Burns who sits in the chip lead, with almost double the chips of Mario “MB TREMENDO” Bonanata in second place.
Adrian “Amadi_017” Mateos was the only player at the final table picked in the $25k Fantasy Draft at the WSOP, but will have to delay any plans to head to Vegas for at least one more day.
Ryhor “Grisha813” Karapanau was the unfortunate bubble boy, finishing in tenth with the final able all guaranteed $52,758.

Mattsson Wins SCOOP Title Number Nine
There was a final table of big names in SCOOP 114-H: $530 NLHE Sunday Warm-Up, with Niklas “Lena900” Astedt and Kelvin “kelvin_FP:AR” Kerber missing out.
Eventually taking home the title and almost $60,000 in combined bounties and prize money was Sweden’s Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson who won the ninth SCOOP title of his career. It comes just weeks after winning SCOOP 16-H: $10,300 Super Tuesday High Roller for $186,238.
Mattsson’s first SCOOP title came back in 2012, winning a $530 6-Max event for $38,233. He followed it up with titles in 2016 and 2020 before bagging two titles in both 2021 and 2022. He’s now snagged another brace of titles to join some of the all-time greats on at least nine titles.
