A career best score for the German crusher as he takes down $1,818,044, in a tournament blighted by a bot scandal.
We rarely give coverage to the unregulated ACR network but this week they just closed out The Venom, which is a $12.5 million guaranteed online tournament.
It was won by none other than DTO boss and prolific German pro Dominik Nitsche, who took it down for his biggest-ever win of $1,818,044.
Also at the final table were Chris Moneymaker and last year’s WSOP Player of the Year Ian Matakis.
Got to win the venom for 1.8 mil and made a few of my close friends and myself a pile of money.
Biggest win of my life by far. Damn https://t.co/37mp0Vzr2F

Another controversial ACR story
This event was not without scandal, however, as is often the case with ACR. It was a multi-day event and several bots were discovered during the tournament, most notably the 2nd biggest stack on Day 2:

According to MTT Database Review, at least four bots were caught with around $230,000 worth of starting stacks that had been won from other players. The bots were then forced to sit out of the tournament, meaning they were blinded out and that equity was inevitably redistributed back to the remaining players.
Whether the players eliminated by those bots will be compensated or if other players should be moved up pay jumps remains to be seen. This is not the first bot scandal at ACR, earlier this year it was revealed around $10 million had been won by a botfarm on the site.
