It’s been a busy weekend at the Maestral Resort & Casino in Budva, Montenegro as the Triton Poker High Roller Series continued.
As the countdown to the $132,500 NLHE Triton Main Event, which gets underway on Monday, continues there has been plenty more high-stakes action including two deep runs for Spain’s Adrian Mateos and the chance for yet another deep run in Montenegro for a certain Bryn Kenney.
Seven-Figure Score for Yaroshevskyy in Event #6
It was delight for Ukraine’s Igor Yaroshevskyy, who topped a field of 126 to win Event #6: $50,000 Bounty Quattro.
It was another close call for runner-up Isaac Haxton who has now gone 39 cashes on the Triton Series without a win, including five runner-up spots, and has amassed over $12 million in earnings in the process.

Yaroshevskyy was joined on his rail by Viacheslav Buldygin, Shyngis Satubayev and Ramin Hajiyev who celebrated with the Ukrainian after the final hand was dealt.
“I am so excited,” said Yaroshevskyy. “It’s an amazing feeling. Today is my day. Thank you guys!”
This regular bounty format saw $15,000 of the $50,000 buy-in make up the bounty prize pool. Bounties were introduced once 25% of the field remained, with each bounty worth $60,000.
Amazingly, Yaroshevskyy only managed to win a single bounty — his heads-up opponent Haxton which, added with his own $60,000 bounty, added $120,000 to his payout of $1,052,000.

Event #6 – $50,000 – Bounty Quattro Final Table Recap
The final table was led by Dimitar Danchev, with Yaroshevskky languishing in seventh of the eight remaining players. However, he still held over 30 big blinds so a comeback was by no means an impossibility.
Haxton meanwhile started the final table in the middle of the back, but boosted his standing with the elimination of Patrik Antonius when the Finn rivered two pair only to run into the American’s straight.
Paulius Vaitiekunas was then eliminated at the hands of Adrian Mateos, only for Mateos to immediately bust. After doubling Punnat Punsri, the same opponent sent him to the rail in sixth place — his third cash of the trip.
Punsri then sent Shyngis Satubayev to the rail, and by this stage had built up a head of steam. Danchev had seen his stack diminish to just 10 big blinds before getting it in against Punsri who added yet another victim — his third in a row.
But if he was expecting a procession, things took a turn with Punsri’s stack taking hits left and right. Eventually, he succumbed to Haxton who sent him to the rail.
The stacks were even heading into heads-up play, and it didn’t take long before Haxton got it in with ace-king in a flip against his opponent’s pocket sevens. The pocket pair held and Yaroshevskyy took down the title and the latest seven-figure score on the Triton Poker Series.

Mateos Leads Final Four in Event #7: 50K NLH 8-Handed
An extra day is needed in Event #7: $50,000 NLHE, with just four players remaining. The remaining players are led by Adrian Mateos (pictured left), fresh from the Spaniard’s sixth-place finish in Event #6.
The players have all locked up $667,00 with third place taking home $818,000 and both the runner-up and eventual champion winning seven-figure scores. The winner will take home $1,761,000 and the runner-up $1,188,000.
Other players who finished in the money included Phil Ivey (6th – $408,000) and Dan Smith (8th – $215,000) with other Triton regulars such as Danny Tang (15th – $119,200) and Elton Tsang (21st – $87,500) also cashing.

Kenney Fourth in Chips in Event #8: $100,000 NLHE 8-Handed
Montenegro has good memories for Bryn Kenney. It may have been five years ago, but Kenney did a double in 2019. After first winning the Six Max for $1,432,264 he went back-to-back, winning the Triton Poker Montenegro Main Event as well for $2,713,876.
He’s back in action in the $100,000 this year, and sits fourth in chips with 37 players remaining from a starting field of 102. It’s been less than a year since Kenney won the $250K Luxon Invitation for $6,860,000 to return to the top of the all-time money list. Will he extend his lead with a big score in Event #8?
