A record breaker for Martin Zamani and a back-to-back win for Brandon Wilson as the final positions in the PGT Championship begin to form.
The PGT Last Chance Series is an opportunity for high rollers to get a last-minute seat in the $1 million PGT Championshio freeroll this weekend, with PGT Points and Dream Passes being awarded to the winners.
Martin Zamani has just taken down the biggest ever PokerGO $10k event with 121 entries for $302,500 after defeating Kristen Foxen heads-up.
Foxen is already guaranteed her place in the championship event but Zamani is one of the players vying for entry via these last chance events. He is currently in contention for a dream seat but could get overtaken by the players in the final event taking place right now.
Wilson does the double
One person seemingly certain to make that $1 million freeroll is Brandon Wilson, who has just taken down back-to-back events.
He won event #4 for $285,000 after taking down event #3 for $297,500.
That’s not enough to get him in the Top 40 but it has secured him a dream pass for the Championship event.
A final invitational event for a dream seat takes place tonight, with the PGT Championship starting tomorrow.
