You can now make submissions for who you think should be the next inductee into the prestigious Poker Hall of Fame.
As always the final inductee will be decided upon by a panel of players and industry experts, but you have a say in the initial nominations. You can make a nomination here.
The criteria, as always, are as follows:
- A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
- Played for high stakes
- Be a minimum of 40 years old at the time of nomination
- Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
- Stood the test of time
- Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results
Once again it will be just one inductee this year and they will be announced on July 14 on the eve of the WSOP Main Event final table.
Last year Brian Rast was inducted, beating off stiff competition from Josh Arieh, Jeremy Ausmus, Ted Forrest, Kathy Liebert, Mike Matusow, Lon McEachern and Norman Chad (as a pair), Matt Savage, Isai Scheinberg, and Bill Smith.
