Two million dollar bounties pulled in Vegas

How would you react to winning a million dollars in an instant? Probably not like one of these guys…

The $1,000 Mystery Millions event was a big hit once again with a staggering 18,409 entries across four starting flights. The event has guaranteed three millionaires, two of which have already been made.

18 players remain and the first prize is $1 million, but it didn’t take long after the start of Day 2 for the first seven-figure prize to be awarded.

Valentyn Shabelnyk of Ukraine pocketed the seven-figure prize during the first level of play:

His response has gone viral for being, shall we say, a little stoic. Clearly the enormity of the situation had not hit him as he ran back to his table to keep playing.

DJ Buckley was our 2nd millionaire and he was also pretty chill about becoming a millionaire:

Buckley finished 90th for a normal payout of $8,170 to go with his golden ticket. Shabelnyk finished in 528th position for a regular payout of $3,070.

The overnight chip leader is Jake Brown of the USA who also pocketed a $250,000 bounty on Day 2, guaranteeing he has already won more than 5th place prize money.

Are these bounties too big? Would the game be better off with more six-figure tickets instead? Let us know in the comments:
