A rival to the likes of Hustler Casino Live as some of the big names from Triton turn their attention to cash games next month.
Fans of high stakes poker have mostly had two choices. The sensationalism of the US-based cash game streams like Hustler Casino Live, or the elite play of tournament streams like the Triton Series.
Now it appears Triton are bridging the game and have announced their first live streamed cash game series, to rival the likes of Hustler Casino Live.
It takes place in Montenegro between August 4-10. No word on the stakes yet, but they are likely to be super high. The few times Triton have broadcast cash game streams, stuff like this happened…
What we do know is that the seating assignments will be random and the minimum buy-in will be 100BBs. The smart money is on there being seven-figure stacks at some point.
We also know some of the players. Expect to see Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Daniel Cates, Linus Loeliger, Adrian Mateos and Tony G. They have also poached ‘HANDZ’ from the Hustler Stream.
There is a gap in the market for an elite level, high stakes, cash game stream without the politics and sensationalism of some of the US streams, which are less about the best players and more about the drama. This could be a big success.
