It’s here again. Can the $10,000 WSOP Main Event break records like it did 12 months ago?
The $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event begins today all the way through to July 17.
There are four starting flights, one a day until July 6. There is also a combined Day 2A/2B/2C on July 7 and 2D on July 8 which players can late register into with 75 big blinds.
The action continues until July 15 when the final table will form and players get a day off. After that, they will play from 9 to 4 on July 16 and down to a winner on July 17.
Last year Daniel Weinman took this event down for $12,100,000 – the biggest prize ever awarded in the Main Event.
Will it be a record-breaker?
Last year there was a lot of buzz around breaking the attendance record, which resulted in the biggest Main Event in poker history.
Can we go one better this time and beat the 10,043 players we got in 2023?
There is no hype around the figure this year so the smart money would say no, but live poker is still booming and a lot of the No Limit fields this year beat their equivalent event in 2023.
The best place to follow the action is the WSOP updates page and if you want to watch it, every single day will be streamed live on PokerGO.
