A poker comic publishes a poker comic this week during the 20th anniversary of the European Poker Tour.
We suspect our audience has a lot of crossover interest with comic book fans, so check this out.
If you have been watching the EPT Barcelona broadcast this week you will already know that Joe Stapleton has released his first poker comic.
Trapped has been four years in the making, and the man himself calls it a mix of Rounders, House of Games and Deadpool.
It was made in collaboration with comic creator Neil Gibson.
TRAPPED – the graphic novel @NGTwistedComics & I started almost FOUR YEARS AGO is now LIVE and on sale. It’s parts Rounders, Deadpool, House of Games & ALL LOVE of POKER. Day 1 movement is super important, so shares are appreciated. I truly hope you enjoy. https://t.co/TK1RNH8Dev pic.twitter.com/f5ovTZk3iT

The comic follows Joe, a poker commentator who gets in trouble with some drug dealers and has to play poker to get out of it. Clearly based in part on Stapleton’s life (the commentary part, and being called Joe), you can see his sense of humour in the sample pages:
Stapes launched the comic on KickStarter where you can currently buy the comic for as little as £10. The project has a goal of £10,000 and after one day has got up to £5,646 at the time of writing.
