PokerStars have revealed details of this year’s World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) festival, the 23rd installment of the historic flagship series.
With over $80 million in guaranteed prize pools, the festival sees 379 tournaments spread across the traditional three separate tiers: Low, Medium, and High.
Buy-ins range from $5.50 to $25,000, and 12 World Championship events offer players a chance at further glory in various disciplines.
There’s also more than ever to look forward to with the introduction of the WCOOP League, Silver and Gold Power Path bundles, and added prizes for Women’s events. Read on to find out more!
Spraggy “Excited” Ahead of 2024 WCOOP
One player looking forward to playing in online poker’s most prestigious festival is Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg. The PokerStars Team Pro says he’s excited and will be preparing in earnest over the next few weeks.
“I’m just going to focus and prepare, but I’m ready. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be! WCOOP is the most important time for an online player — even as a poker player in general. It’s where our whole year culminates. It’s when the lights are brightest and the action’s at its biggest.”

With two WCOOP trophies already, Spraggy says he always wants to have more and says he’ll put himself in a position to add further online glory to his online poker honours list.
“We live in a world where nothing is really permanent or means too much. There’s a lot of poker around, from festivals to the daily schedule. If you win, it’s great financially. But it’s sort of ephemeral.
“With WCOOP, there’s a permanence to it. There’s a prestige to it. There’s a tradition to it.”
WCOOP League

Spraggy will be one of the captains in the inaugural WCOOP League — alongside Fintan Hand, Lex Veldhuis and Parker “Tonka” Talbot — as PokerStars looks to build on the success of SCOOP League.
The WCOOP League Draft is scheduled to take place during EPT Barcelona, where two further team captains will be unveiled and the teams will be selected.
Already assured places in WCOOP League teams are the top six players from the WCOOP Boot Camp tournament leaderboard: ‘farrokh674’, ‘zidix’, ‘So00oSick’, ‘FollowTheBreath’, ‘Revenge4Dodo’, and ‘king153246’. Each won a $10,300 WCOOP Gold Pass and will be available to be drafted by the captains in Barcelona.
