A remarkable back-to-back success for Shiina Okamoto of Japan this year after she wins the Ladies Event a year after coming 2nd.

1,245 runners this year for the $10,000 Ladies Championship at the World Series of Poker, once again proving the industry has lots of growth potential with female players.
Fan favourite Jamie Kerstetter came close in this event coming runner-up for $114,479.
If there is one person who could console her for coming so close but then losing heads-up, it would be eventual winner Shiina Okamoto of Japan, who took it down for $171,732.
