More than 10% of of the field will be GGPoker online qualifiers this year. If one of them wins the Main Event, they get an extra $1 million!
The World Series of Poker Main Event is imminent and we now have the official qualifier figures from GGPoker.
1,124 players will be playing in the $10,000 Main Event courtesy of GGPoker. The breakdown of which is as follows:
- GGPoker.com Road To Vegas seat winners: 732 players
- GGPoker.com direct buy-in: 233 players
- GGPoker.ca Road To Vegas seat winners: 59 players
- ClubGG seat winners: 100 players
This has crushed last year’s number of 744 qualifiers, which contributed to that record breaking 10,043 runner Main Event.
One in ten players qualified via GG
As in 2023, GGPoker promises a $1,000,000 bonus to any GGPoker qualifier that claims this year’s WSOP Main Event title.
Based on last year’s numbers that might mean there is a 10% chance of GGPoker forking out an extra $1 million this year.
“We are proud to be sending over 1,100 players to this year’s WSOP Main Event and it is further evidence of the strong partnership shared by GGPoker and WSOP,” said Paul Burke, Head of Public Relations at GGPoker. “The GGPoker players landing in Las Vegas this week will bring a unique blend of enthusiasm and competitive spirit to the WSOP tables, and I expect that some of them will still be in the mix at the final table!”
