The WPT Prime Championship in Taiwan has smashed a number of attendance records this week with a field of 1,666.
Record breaking live poker shows no sign of stopping after the WSOP as another major milestone has been broken. Just a few weeks after the biggest field outside Las Vegas, we have seen the biggest WPT Prime Championship outside of Vegas.
The WPT Prime Championship in Taiwan attracted 1,666 entries, making it the biggest event ever held in Taiwan and also the biggest Prime Championship outside of Las Vegas.
The eventual champion was Jereld Sam who took it down when he defeated Kosei Oguri heads-up. He pocketed TWD 8,065,000 ($250,699) and a seat in the WPT World Championship for his efforts.
