In one of the most left-field decisions in recent poker history, the World Poker Tour decided to host a $5 million freeroll while EPT Prague and WSOP Paradise were taking place.

Now that the dust has settled, our very own LemOn36 was in Vegas to document the action.

He caught up with WPT President Adam Pliska and the man who founded the World Poker Tour, Steve Lipscomb, to get their views on the event.

They discussed the history of the WPT, the future of the World Poker Tour, and much much more.

Would you try to qualify for this event if it were open to the rest of the world next year? Let us know in the comments:
