OlyBet has a long history of running excellent poker festivals in the Baltics, particularly in Estonia, the home of the Kings of Tallinn series. Traditionally, Latvian poker players have had to travel to compete in an OlyBet festival, but that is no longer the case because the OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Bounty festival is heading to the Latvian capital from September 14.
The OlyBet Showdown Riga, Voodoo Bounty festival, marks the first time the Showdown poker series has taken place in Latvia, and Chris Larson, Group Poker Director at Olybet, cannot wait to get the show on the road.
“This festival is a significant step forward for the poker community in Latvia. It marks a new era in our poker offering and strengthens our position as the country’s leading entertainment and gaming provider. We see this festival as a fantastic opportunity to promote poker culture in Latvia, attract new players, and create an unforgettable experience for all the participants. Our goal is to continue supporting the local poker community and providing world-class events that meet lofty expectations of local and international players alike.”
OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Bounty 2024 Festival Schedule
The Olympic Voodoo Casino on Elizabetes Street 55, Riga, hosts the festival from September 14 through September 22. Over two dozen tournaments, each directed by renowned tournament director Teresa Nousianinen, take place over nine days, each with an affordable buy-in.
Although the buy-ins are at the lower end of the spectrum, OlyBet has scheduled several cut-price satellites for bargain hunters to get involved in. You’ll find €10 and €20 buy-in satellites for some of the festival’s key events.
The €350 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event Mystery Bounty is one such event. It has a trio of flights, a Day 2, before wrapping up on the third and final day. Mystery bounties come into play once the money bubble bursts.
If the €350 Main Event isn’t big enough, check out the €555 No-Limit Mystery Bounty event over the final weekend. The two-day event plays down to the last 15% of the field on Day 1 on September 21, before concluding the following day.
